File Uploads

Attach screenshots and documents

Submitters can attach files to their feedback to provide visual context. Screenshots, screen recordings, error logs, and documents help your team understand issues faster and reduce back-and-forth.

Supported file types

The feedback form accepts a wide range of file formats:

  • Images — PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, HEIC
  • Video — MP4, MOV, WebM
  • Audio — MP3, M4A, WAV
  • Documents — PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, TXT, CSV, MD, JSON, LOG
  • Archives — ZIP

Screenshots and screen recordings are the most common attachment types and help communicate bugs and UX issues more clearly than text alone.

How uploads work

During the AI conversation, submitters can click the upload button to attach files:

  1. Click the upload icon in the chat input area
  2. Select one or more files from their device
  3. Files are uploaded immediately and a preview appears in the conversation
  4. The AI acknowledges the upload and asks whether you have any additional files to add
Note
Files are stored securely in Supabase Storage and are associated with the intake session. When the submission is finalized, the file URLs are included in the submission record and in any issues created in your connected tracker.

Files in tracker issues

When a submission with file attachments creates an issue in your connected tracker (Linear, GitHub, or Jira), the files are included as links in the issue description. This means your team can see the screenshots and recordings directly from the issue without needing to navigate back to Flowback.

Files in the dashboard

In the Submissions inbox, any submission that includes file attachments is indicated with an attachment icon. When you view the submission details, all attached files are displayed alongside the conversation and generated PRD.
