Dashboard & Analytics

Track submission trends and insights

Flowback provides analytics to help you understand feedback trends, identify patterns, and track your team's feedback processing. The dashboard overview and dedicated analytics page give you different views into your feedback data.

Dashboard overview

The main dashboard page (accessible from Dashboard in the sidebar) shows:

  • Key metrics cards — Total submissions, 7-day trend, active channels, and team members
  • Submission chart — A bar chart showing daily submission volume over the past 7 days
  • Category distribution — A breakdown showing what types of feedback you're receiving (bugs vs. features vs. UX improvements, etc.)
  • Recent submissions — The latest 5 submissions for quick access

Analytics page

The dedicated Analytics page (accessible from the sidebar) provides deeper insights:

  • Submission trends — Track how feedback volume changes over time
  • Category breakdown — See the distribution of feedback types
  • Priority distribution — Understand the severity mix of incoming feedback
  • Channel comparison — Compare submission volume across channels

Using analytics effectively

Here are some patterns to look for in your analytics:

  • Spike in bug reports — May indicate a problematic release. Check if the spike correlates with a recent deployment.
  • Consistent category pattern — If feature requests consistently outnumber bugs, your product may be stable but missing key functionality.
  • High-priority concentration — If most submissions are P0/P1, your priority rules may need tuning — or you may have significant quality issues.
  • Channel utilization — Low-volume channels may not be well-promoted or may be redundant.
Tip
Combine Flowback analytics with Slack weekly digests to keep your team aligned on feedback trends without requiring everyone to check the dashboard.
