Overview

Create and manage feedback channels

Channels are the foundation of feedback collection in Flowback. Each channel is an independent feedback stream with its own public URL, settings, and integrations. You might create separate channels for different products, teams, or feedback types.

What is a channel?

A channel represents a single feedback intake point. When you share a channel's URL with your users, they see a branded feedback form where the AI assistant guides them through submitting their feedback. Each channel can have its own:

  • Category tags (bug, feature request, UX improvement, etc.)
  • Visibility settings (public or private)
  • Theme (dark or light mode)
  • Linear team and project routing
  • Slack channel for notifications
  • Feedback mode (single issue, auto-split, or split with review)

Creating a channel

Navigate to Channels in your dashboard sidebar, then click New Channel. You'll be asked to provide:

  • Name — A descriptive name like "Bug Reports" or "Feature Requests"
  • Slug — Auto-generated from the name, used in the public URL
  • Category tags — Select which types of feedback this channel accepts
  • Visibility — Choose between public and private access

Channel limits

The number of channels you can create depends on your plan:

PlanChannel LimitMonthly Submissions
Trial2 channels50 submissions
Starter3 channels100 submissions
ProUnlimited300 submissions

Managing channels

From the Channels page, you can see all your channels in a grid view. Each channel card shows its name, status, visibility, and the number of submissions it has received.

Click on a channel to edit its settings, or use the status toggle to pause a channel temporarily. Paused channels display a message to visitors that feedback is not currently being accepted.

Note
Pausing a channel does not delete any existing submissions. When you unpause it, feedback collection resumes immediately.

Feedback modes

Channels support three feedback processing modes that determine how submissions are handled:

ModeBehavior
SingleEach conversation creates exactly one submission and one Linear issue
Auto-SplitThe AI automatically detects multiple distinct issues in a conversation and creates separate submissions for each
Split & ReviewLike Auto-Split, but submissions are created as drafts that require manual approval before Linear issues are created

The default mode is set at the workspace level but can be overridden per channel.
